The girls team (9 girls strong) finished 10th of 11 teams. St. Louis won the meet. Medaling for the girls was Aubrey Hessbrook (5th in the long jump and 1st in the high jump).
“Today was a starting point for everyone. Conditions were not ideal (60mph winds and 43 degrees) but everyone competed well. In spite of the conditions, some girls found PR’s in their events (Bell Craddock in the Shot Put and Paige Ewalt in the 300 hurdles). On the boys side, we competed very well and were 8 points out of 2nd place to Division 2 and 3 teams. Every team has to start somewhere and today was our starting line. Our seniors led the way in scoring with Zane Forist, Cavanaugh Barker, Matt Emelander, Ashton Keiffer, Taiden Robinson and Paul Wright all contributing heavily to the point total. Our younger guys are progressing nicely and will only add to the mix as the season goes on. It was cold and windy today, but Every Day Is A Great Day when you get to compete.
Next meet for the Eagles is Saturday April 23rd at the Breckenridge Trent Carter Memorial Invitational.
