| The Montabella Mustangs traveled to Vestaburg on Saturday for a varsity only contest and won 64-36. The Mustangs broke out in a stampede and ran out to a 19-0 lead by the end of the first quarter. For the second straight game the Mustangs played great team basketball totaling 17 assists on the night, which resulted in 8 different scorers for the team. Drew Kelsey led all scorers with 23 points and also pulled in 9 rebounds. JT Smith had his first double double of the season scoring 13 points and dishing out 11 assists. Keegan Ferguson also recorded a double double with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Caleb Theisen also scored 6 points and had 6 rebounds. The Mustangs return home on Tuesday to host the Huskies of Breckenridge, Jv tip 6pm. |
