On Saturday, the Mustang Varsity Girls Basketball team travelled to Vestaburg to play the Wolverines. It was a battle to maintain possession throughout the majority of the second half, but the Mustangs took control and outscored the Wolverines 13-5. This however, wasn’t enough to overcome a slow first quarter, and the Mustangs ended up losing 30-27 after trailing by 11 at the half. Mya Scott led the Mustangs with 8 points, and Julie Spohn and Helena Snyder added 4 steals a piece. The girls will play at home again this week against Breckenridge on Tuesday, and Coleman on Thursday.
