Holt football coach Chad Fulk isn’t anticipating an easy football schedule.
“I believe our schedule is pretty tough this year,” he said.
The season starts Aug. 27 at Caledonia against a team “that would have made the playoffs last year using the new playoff system,” Fulk said, noting the game at Mason on Sept. 3, “is a renewed rivalry game with traveling trophy and they went undefeated last year on their way to winning their league title.”
After a home game against Okemos on Sept. 11, it’s off to Dewitt on Sept. 18 against a team that “has only lost one league game since joining our league two years ago,” Fulk said.
Holt is at Waverly on Sept. 25 and home with Lansing Everett on Oct. 2. In a home game on Oct. 9, it’s against East Lansing “which has 2 Big Ten players in OL Ethan Boyd going to MSU and wide receiver Andrel Anthony who is deciding between MSU, UM, Notre Dame, and Penn State,” Fulk said.
Portage Northern, a home opponent on Oct. 16, “has a returning All-State running going to Northwestern, Fulk said.
The regular season ends on Oct. 23 at Grand Ledge against Holt’s biggest rival
