It was Carrollton 64 MLS 52 in Varsity Boys Basketball at MLS Friday, January 10.
MLS Coach Seth LaBair: “The game was closer than the final score showed. Both teams led at different times during the fourth quarter. The Cavaliers caused some key turnovers late in the game and came up with some big baskets down the stretch to seal the win. The Cardinals had a lot of good shots but only converted on 26% of them. Carrollton also forced MLS to turn the ball over 21 times. Carrollton was led by Jovante Jones-Buckner with 16. Chris Coleman had 13 and D.J. Voltz also had 11. MLS was led by Nathan Seafert with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Max Nordlie had nine points, five rebounds and six assists. The Cardinals play at Merrill on Monday and host Valley Lutheran on Tuesday.”
