It was a 63-56 boys basketball win for Alma over Ogemaw Heights on Friday.
Alma came out hard tonight ending the first quarter ahead 17-12. Ogemaw battled back to take the lead in the second before a 7-2 run gave Alma a 30-25 halftime lead. Ogemaw opened the third on a 7-0 run to take the lead again. Alma finished the quarter on a 16-12 run and never trailed again. Solid free throw shooting iced going 14-of-16 for the game.
Alma was led by Paul Gadde’s 17 point and 7 rebounds, Cade Frillici had a career-high 16 points and four steals, and Case Martin had 10 points including eight in the fourth quarter.
Ogemaw was led by Merrick Hodgin’s 22 points.
Alma goes to 3-2 and plays at Freeland on Tuesday.
