| MILLINGTON – Millington hosted the Kandace Milostan Memorial Volleyball Tournament this past Saturday. The Cardinal volleyball team finished the day with a 3-1-1 record and finished 1st in the Silver Bracket.
Millington finished in 3rd place in their pool by losing to Reese (13-25, 15-25), defeating Durand (25-23, 25-22), and splitting with Heritage (19-25, 26-24). The Cardinals defeated Chesaning in the semi-finals of the Silver Bracket by the score of 25-22 and 25-15. In the finals, Millington got the best of Durand again by the scores of 26-24 and 25-21. On the day, Millington was led by Kate Cooper and Nevaeh Hendricks. Cooper had 54 assists, 22 kills, and 33 digs. Hendricks had 34 digs, 27 kills, and 16 assists. Hailey Crump added 44 digs and 33 kills. Darrien Roberts had 42 digs, while Chloe Bremer added 15. Hannah Bees had 15 kills, and Kierrah Butterfield had 15 assists. Millington (19-10-10) returns to action tonight (10/28) as they host Caro. The match is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. |
