Crossroads Charter Academy fell behind early and couldn’t come back in an 11-1 loss to Pentwater on Tuesday. Pentwater took the lead on a double in the first inning.
The CCA struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Pentwater, giving up 11 runs.
Pentwater opened up scoring in the first inning. M Kenney doubled on a 1-2 count, scoring two runs.
Pentwater scored three runs in the fifth inning. Pentwater scored its runs on a single by E Oilpilant.
Kenney led the Pentwater to victory in the circle. She surrendered one run on two hits over five innings, striking out ten.
Jenelle Costello took the loss for CCA. She went two innings, allowing six runs on two hits and striking out two.
Maddie Alber and Gabby Curtis each managed one hit to lead CCA.
