Brec Alward of Alma has been named High School Sports Scene Player of the Week. The talented Panthers running back gained 311 yards on 27 carries for five touchdowns in a 33-13 win on Friday over Midland Bullock Creek.

Brayden Shaw of Ithaca vs. Pinconning had 6 Carries, 181 yards rushing, 4 TD’s in his 3rd Year Varsity starting RB as a junior.
Sanford Meridian’s Kyle Stockford returned two interceptions for touchdowns and a kickoff for a TD, and played a key role in a 48-24 win over host Houghton Lake in Jack Pine Conference football.
Jakob Loynes of Ovid Elsie was 6 for 7 for 120 yards passing and 4 TDs.

Through the month of September, Kowalski has helped lead the Martians on a 3-1-2 record against a very strong set of opponents (including a 1-1 tie with the #3 ranked team in Division 2). The teams overall record is currently 7-1-2.
