Carson City-Crystal track coach Grant Woodman has been finding some success with various athletes this season.
“We’re a pretty young team,” he said.
As of late May, the Eagle boys were second in the Mid-State Athletic Conference behind Breckenridge while the girls are fourth.
“In individual events, we’re doing well,” Woodman said. “We had a chance to get some state qualifiers. Other than that, it’s been a fairly good season so far.”
Jacob and Daniel Smith in the throws, and Kaleb Barrett and Beau Hollinshead in the running events have been standouts. For the girls, it’s been Sarah McCrackin and Allyson Stevens in the high jump and Hailey Hubbell in the throws. Hubbell threw the discus 107-1 to win the Alma Scotty Relays.
