Detroit Cass Tech won the Division 1 state championship with a 49-20 win over Detroit Catholic Central on Nov. 26 in the Division 1 title game at Ford Field. Donovan Johnson had TD runs of 60 and 2 yards to lead Cass Tech. Rodney Hall threw three touchdown passes for the winners.
