Accomplishments: Piper helped Midland Dow kick off the season in style by scoring a hat trick in its 3-1 opener against Freeland. She will play soccer at the University of Indiana.

Accomplishments: Jankoska set the Freeland High School boys’ school record in the pole vault with a 13’7″ effort a year ago. He has broken that mark numerous times since setting the record last season and will contend for a state championship in the pole vault this season.
