Ithaca is trailing Monroe St Mary Catholic 15-12 after the third quarter of Friday’s Division 6 state title game at Ford Field. St. Mary took the opening kickoff, drove 60 yards in eight minutes and scored on Mitchell Lamour’s 3-yard run and added the two points. Jake Smith recovered a St. Mary CC fumble near midfield late in the quarter. In the second quarter, Smith passed 11 yards to Spence DeMull for a touchdown and Smith ran 3 yards for another one. But Ithaca failed to convert on its points after touchdown. Travis Vulch returned a punt fumble 19 yards for a Monroe CC touchdown. It was 15-12 at halftime. The third quarter was scoreless.
