Belding’s girls basketball team improved to 5-3 with a strong defensive performance and 43-25 victory over Comstock Park on Friday night.
Belding had a 16-0 lead after the first period and 30-16 advantage after the second quarter. The Redskins outscored Comstock Park 13-9 in the second half. Stephanie Harig led Belding with 18 points, followed by Peyton Mount with 14 points and Katie Wood with five points.
