It’s been quite a week for Quinn Tyson of Big Rapids. Earlier this week, Tyson passed the 1,000-point career mark in a game against Holton. Later in the week, Ferris State basketball coach Andy Bronkema announced that Tyson and Zach Hankins of Charlevoix are members of his 2014 recruiting class.
Tyson sparked the Cardinals to the Class B state quarterfinals while averaging 22 points per game as a junior. He has led Big Rapids to a 6-1 start so far this season.
Ferris said it will redshirt Tyson next season and play him during the 2015-16 season.
