Beal City now faces another Upper Peninsula challenge Saturday in its bid for a Division 8 state title. The Aggies play at Marquette Saturday against Crystal Falls Forest Park in a semifinal game. Last weekend. St. Ignace came to Beal City in a regional title game and the Aggies prevailed 55-0. It was 34-0 at halftime. Ryan Tilmann caught a 42-yard pass from Kurt Gross at 10:39 of the first quarter and Hayden Huber added a 39-yard run in the later stages of the opening period. Tilmann caught passes of 48 and 39 yards from Gross in the second quarter while Huber had a two-yard run.
In the third, Gross threw 54 yards to Ty Rollin. Kevn Strauss had a 17-yard interception touchdown return. Luke Farrell had a two-yard run in the fourth quarter for six points. Rollin kicked seven PATs.
Gross was 5-of-10 in passing for 196 yard and four TDs. Tilmann caught three passes for 129 yards, all for touchdowns. Huber had 73 yards on eight carries and Rollin 71 yards on 10 tries.
