Saginaw Swan Valley’s dream season ends at 11-1 after a 26-21 loss to undefeated Lansing Sexton last weekend.
Swan Valley entered the third quarter down 14-0 and outscored Sexton 21-6 for a 21-20 lead.
Alex Grace had 5 and 80-yard touchdown runs while Nick Call threw a 12-yard pass to Alex Dils for Swan Valley’s three touchdowns. Ben Finzel kicked the PAT each time for the 21-20 lead with 3:50 to play. But Sexton scored with 2:26 to play and was able to hang on for the victory.
For Swan Valley, Ben Hart and Taylor Reaume both had fumble recoveries. Nick Class was 4-of-7 for 46 yards, one touchdown and one interception. Alex Grace was 2-for-2 for 17 yards. Finzel caught three catches for 23 yards. Dils had two catches for 40 yards. Dallas Grace rushed 36 times for 236 yards and two touchdowns.
