A remarkable volleyball season has ended for Ashley in the Class D volleyball postseason tournament. The Bears fell to Mount Pleasant Sacred Heart 3-1 in the regional finals on Thursday at Coopersville. Ashley ended its season at 28-16. Three seasons ago, Ashley was 0-32 in volleyball.
Both Sacred Heart and Ashley played in the Mid-State Activities Conference. Ashley was led by Sierra Belongia with eight kills, Meggan Andrews with four aces, eight kills and 17 digs, Megan Seifert with 24 assists and Kelsey Smith with seven kills.
