Ashley’s volleyball team three years ago was 0-32. Right now, the Bears are 28-15 and one win away from a regional title. Ashley won on Tuesday at Muskegon Catholic Central at Coopersville 25-15, 25-18 25-15 in the regional semifinals and plays at Mount Pleasant Sacred Heart for the title on Thursday.
Catholic Central ended its season at 19-26-2.
Ashley netted strong performances from Meggan Andrews with 15 kills and three blocks, Kelsey Smith with 14 kills, Megan Seifer with 36 assists and Sierra Belognia with three blocks. Ashley’s current set of players is 0-7 against Sacred Heart.
