Midland Dow has become a volleyball district champion for the first time in four years. Dow won the Class A district title over Midland on Saturday 25-7, 25-15, 25-21. Kylee Juday had a big day for the champs with 35 assists, seven digs and four blocks. Kaylee Talt had three aces to lead the team, plus 11 digs while Madi Kuch had a team-high 12 kills. Helena Atton had two aces, 11 kills and seven blocks. Amanda Olcenzuk had 11 digs. The team is coached by Kristin Eddy and has a 42-14-2 record. Dow plays at Gaylord in a regional semifinal game on Tuesday. Dow hasn’t won a regional since 1993.
