Essexville-Garber’s playoff season came to an end Friday in the Division 4 finals against Saginaw Swan Valley in a 54-28 loss. Noah Bargouthy had a 79-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in the first quarter but Garber trailed 44-6 at halftime. Logan Martin had a 10-yard run in the third quarter while Simeon Berry and Bargouthy had scoring runs of 80 and 1 yards in the fourth quarter.
For Essexville Garber, Simeon Gerry had four catches for 92 yards and Brendyn Clarhout two receptions for 17 yards. Berry had two runs for 76 yards and Bargouthy 12 runs for 68 yards. Call was 3-of-5 for 42 yards in passing.
