Accomplishments: As a junior, Vanderploeg received all-district awards and all-conference honors in soccer. This season, he guided the Yellowjackets to a 12-4-2 record. In the first eight games of the football season, Vanderploeg had kicked off 55 times, with 34 of them going for touchbacks. He was 47 of 49 in PATs.
