We are in the middle of the busy fall championship season, and there isn’t a more exciting time for high school athletes, fans, parents, and boosters.
The high school football playoffs are kicking off, and the excitement level is at fever pitch in towns big and small all across our great state.
Story lines abound: Can the Ithaca Yellowjackets win a fifth straight state title? Can the Lowell Red Arrows get back to Ford Field? How far can super junior running back Alex Grace lead Swan Valley? Will Beal City’s high-powered offense be slowed down?
When it comes to super high school football players, check out our list of 100 of the greatest players to play high school football in our Great Lakes State. The list is a snapshot of 100 of the best and most influential high school players to come out of Michigan. While the players could be ranked in any order, fans will have a great time talking about who should be ranked higher or lower and who might have been left off the list.

Hats off to the Midland Dow boys tennis team that brought a fifth straight state title back to Midland County. Congratulations also go out to Okemos senior Elle Nichols, who battled the field and the elements to win a third straight individual golf title at the Division 2 state meet!
Congratulations to all the fall champions! Be it state, conference, league, district, or regional title, it takes a lot of hard work, desire, effort ,and dedication to win any title in high school sports!
