Chippewa Hills is over the .500 mark after a 42-7 whipping of the Big Rapids Cardinals Friday night in Central State Activities Association football action
The Warriors had a 13-7 lead after the first quarter after Hunter Conley had a 43-yard run and Trevor Purdy passed 67 yards to Tyler Kelsey. Chippewa Hills scored 21 points in the second quarter for a 34-7 lead. Gossett had runs of 12 and 34 yards and Kelsey had a 48-yard interception return.
In the third quarter, Gossett had a 6-yard run.
Gossett gained 147 yards rushing while Conley had 103. Purdy passed for 67 yards.
