Devin Pringle returns to coach a Carson City-Crystal football squad that took to the third round of the playoffs in 2000.
The Eagles hope they can challenge Mount Pleasant Sacred Heart for the Mid-State Activities Association title.
Key players include Rhett Pringle, a senior transfer from Haslett, who will take over at QB. He has excellent arm strength and sub 4.6 speed.
Jeremy Schneider, a junior, will contribute at tight end and defensive end.
Other key players are Garner Cusack at running back and defensive back and linemen Scott Postea. Frank Smith, Billy Fisk and Thomas Turner.
“We expect to be very competitive in a very good conference. Our expectations are that we will make the playoffs and be competitive with the top teams in the MSAC. We face five teams who finished with winning records in 2012, they all expect to win also, we need to be at our best every week,” Pringle said.
