The Saginaw Heritage hockey team has started the season 3-0 after its 2-1 thrilling overtime win over Midland Dow Dec. 5 at Midland Civic Arena.
The Hawks Sami Abdelaziz scored on a breakaway 2 minutes and 30 seconds into overtime to give Heritage the victory.
Heritage’s other goal was scored by Mason Curnutt scored with assists from Jacob Tweedle and Jacob Schwartz.
Heritage’s Kevin Cressey had 30 saves in the win for the Hawks.
Midland Dow’s lone goal came from David Laursen.
