Midland Dow’s tennis team improved to 5-0 on the season after besting Grand Blanc 8-0, Holly 8-0, and East Lansing 7-1 Aug. 17 in boys tennis action Dow next plays in the Dow Quad the GMTC on Thursday featuring Dexter, Battle Creek Lakeview, and Traverse City Central.
“We looked good today. These guys did their job and we are getting closer to figuring out the doubles line up. Unfortunately, we had a slight hiccup today at 2S when Chase tweaked his knee, but Danny stepped right in and fought hard in both of those matches. Proud of that kid for stepping in the way he did with zero preparation. It’s a long season and we have some real battles ahead of us that will truly test us and show us where we stand in the state… but these boys are excited to show what they can do.”
