Dow takes tennis title with 21 points

Dow improved to 17-0-1 after beating Forest Hills Central 7-1, Berkley 7-1, and Flushing 7-1 .
Coach Terry Schwartzkopf: “I think overall the boys played excellent today. We had a few mishaps and let downs in the middle of matches, but for the most part were able to rebound themselves and pull of the victory. I am really proud of how hard these guys are working, not just on their physical game, but their mental game as well. We saw MUCH better outcomes in the tie breakers today than last weekend. Hopefully, we can see this trend continue as we head into the back half of the season. Siva gave everything he had stepping in for Yassin in that last match, proud of his effort. My assistant coaches (Brad Martin and Mike McGaugh) were excellent and stepped in EXACTLY when they needed to. Today was a good day.”
