STANDISH – Millington played Standish for the first time since the FDR administration and came away with their first victory over the Panthers by the score of 18-6.

Millington was led by junior quarterback Issac Slough who had 134 yards passing on eight completions in 16 attempts. He also had 66 yards rushing on 15 attempts.

The Cardinals got on the board in the first quarter on a six yard touchdown run by Jordan Rabideau. Leyton Mays converted the two-point conversion.

Millington would not score again until Jonah Williams connected on a 28 yard field goal as time expired in the first half.

The Cardinals only second half score occurred in the third quarter on a 33 yard double pass from Slough to Will Kirby to Rabideau. Willams converted the PAT.

Defensively Millington was led by Rabideau’s five tackles. Kirby, Kadyn LaChappelle, and Jared Legue each had four tackles. Drew Kihn, Brendyn Callahan, and Jerdannio Bailey each had an interception.

Millington (1-0) returns to action on Friday, September 25 when they host conference foe Carrollton. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 pm.
