Mount Pleasant survived a home test over this weekend in the Division 3 district finals against Sault Ste. Marie and posted a 42-27 victory.

 

Mount Pleasant now advances to the regional finals this weekend and will play Zeeland West, which was a 48-35 winner over Grand Rapids Christian in the other district title game. Both teams are 10-1. Mount Pleasant running back Michael Tweh had a strong second half and wound up with 191 yards and two touchdowns. One of Tweh’s runs was from 54 yards out. Evan Huber added a 52-yard TD pass. Robert Backus and receiver Kalebb Perry combined for touchdown passes of 40 and 49 yards.
